TiSPACE is Taiwan's first private commercial launch company, developing the Hapith family of small launch vehicles. Suborbital test campaigns were conducted from Whaler's Way in South Australia in 2022 and 2024 via a TiSPACE Australian subsidiary (ATSpace), and the company is planning a Taiwan-based sea-launch operation off the Hsinchu coast and an orbital Hapith-V vehicle. The effort represents Taiwan's first attempt at a domestic private orbital launch capability.

| Regulatory Regime | Taiwan National Space Organization (NSPO) under Ministry of Science and Technology; Taiwan Space Development Act (2022) sets domestic licensing framework |
| Latitude Advantage | 24.79°N — favorable mid-latitude; sea-launch positioning would allow east/south azimuth over Pacific avoiding mainland China and Philippines overflight |
| Azimuth Range | 90°–180° (LEO, SSO via Pacific overwater range, if sea-launch concept proceeds) |

Strategic Value
Geopolitically sensitive — Taiwan's only path to indigenous orbital launch given inability to use international sites and absence of a dedicated mainland-Taiwan pad. Cross-strait tensions make sea-launch the only credible architecture. Highly uncertain timeline.
Recent Activity
Hapith-I second Whaler's Way (Australia) test campaign in 2024; Taiwan domestic-launch licensing under NSPO review; Hapith-V orbital design iteration ongoing through 2025.
2027
Hapith-V orbital maiden flight target (highly uncertain)
2028
Possible Taiwan domestic sea-launch demonstration if regulatory path clears
