How to spot the ISS from Xining
Xining sits at 36.63°, 101.76°. The brightest passes typically appear within 1–2 hours of sunset and again before sunrise, when the satellite is sunlit while the sky above Xining is dark. Look for a steady, fast-moving point of light brighter than most stars — the ISS rivals Venus at peak.
