About
Canada's first purpose-built commercial orbital launch complex, under construction outside St. Lawrence, Newfoundland by NordSpace — the first Canadian launch site of any kind to attempt a launch since Churchill closed in 1998. Two launch attempts of the suborbital Taiga rocket in August 2025 both ended in aborts (a power-loss scrub, then an over-cautious flight-software abort after engine ignition); no completed flight as of this research. Originally announced as "Spaceport Canada", renamed Atlantic Spaceport Complex in 2025 over a trademark conflict.
