About
Centro de Lançamento da Barreira do Inferno (CLBI) is Brazil's oldest active rocket launch site, established 1965 on the Atlantic coast of Rio Grande do Norte at 5.9°S. CLBI is dedicated to sounding-rocket research, atmospheric science, and tracking support for Alcântara and ESA Kourou trajectories. As Brazil's second-most-equatorial range, it complements Alcântara for sounding-rocket campaigns and serves as a key tracking station for South Atlantic launch corridors.
