The first purpose-built Soviet EVA suit — used for the only crewed spacecraft-to-spacecraft transfer by spacewalk in history.
The Yastreb ('Hawk') was the first Soviet spacesuit purpose-engineered for extravehicular activity rather than adapted from an IVA suit. Learning from the Berkut's near-fatal inflation problem, engineers replaced the umbilical life support with a chest-mounted rectangular life support box (rather than a backpack, to fit through Soyuz hatches) and introduced a pulley-and-cable articulation system to prevent suit ballooning. It was used for a single unique mission: the January 1969 transfer of cosmonauts Khrunov and Yeliseyev from Soyuz 5 to Soyuz 4 via spacewalk — the only time in history crew have transferred between two spacecraft via EVA.
